Kuna Madungandi Icandi: An Ancestral Journey
The Icandi community is situated on the banks of Bayano Lake, Panama’s second largest. Icandi is also located within the Comarca Kuna Madungandi, which is home to several inland Kuna communities.
Activities and Experiences
- Learn about Kuna history and culture
- Learn about and participate in the design and production of molas (textiles) and winis (beaded jewelry)
- Try on traditional (female) Kuna clothing
- Swim in the Icandi River
- Learn about and participate in a traditional dance
- Learn the Kuna and Spanish languages
- Total Duration: Approximately 8-10 hours, including transport.
Overnight options also available.
