Naso Tjër Di: Along Grandmother River

Within their comarca, the Naso Tjër Di, are two of Panama’s most important protected areas, both teeming with flora and fauna: Friendship International Park (PILA, a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Palo Seco Forest Reserve. The community of Bonyic is located on the banks of the legendary Tjër Di River, which serves as the pillar and lifeblood of the Naso people.

ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES

  • Participate in traditional dance - Tourists will have the experience to partake in traditional Naso dance

  • Learn about traditional crafts - Learn about the different types of crafts that the Naso make and what they signify to the Naso

  • Experience a boat trip along the river - A boat trip on the Tjër Di, the Grandmother river, will be taken

  • Learn about traditional medicine plants - Tourists will have the change to learn about traditional Naso medicinal plants
